Who We Serve

All of the Northeast Community Clinic sites are located in Medically Underserved Areas/Populations (MUA/MUP) which indicates the level of poverty and need of the community residents. Patient demographics are reflective of a diverse metropolitan area. This information is important to tailoring our services to the healthcare needs of our patients and in becoming a premier provider for the Affordable Care Act. According to our OSPD and UDS reports the following socio-economic conditions are dominant in NECC patient service communities: 

  • 82% are below the 200% Federal Poverty Level
  • 70% are of Hispanic ethnicity, 11% African-American, 1% Asian/Pacific Islander and 19% are of White or unknown ethnicity
  • 66% have a primary spoken language other than English
  • 89% receive services under a public funded health insurance programs
