Q: Where are your clinics located?

Q: Do you accept walk-ins?

A: Yes, walk-ins are welcomed at all locations, but we highly recommend making an appointment to avoid long wait times. Walk-in times vary at all clinics, please contact the clinic directly.

Q: What insurance providers do you accept?

A: We accept a wide variety of insurance carriers, please visit our payment page.

Q: Are you able to treat me even if I don’t have insurance or Medi-Cal?

A: We offer a variety of programs that may be a good fit for you. These include HealthyWay LA, CHDP-Gateway, Family PACT, Presumptive-Eligibility, and Public Private Partnership. In addition, we also have a discounted fee schedule based on your ability to pay.

Q: What do I need to bring to apply for these programs?

A: Required documentation depends on the program which you are eligible for. These may include but are not limited to a picture ID, proof of income, or proof of address. Please call (888) 311-6322 to speak with a Customer Representative about what you will need for your appointment.

Q: Do you offer free pregnancy tests?

A: o Yes, we do offer free pregnancy tests at our clinic locations. You may walk-in or call (888) 311-6322 to make an appointment.

Q: Does NECC staff speak languages other than English?

A: In order to provide a higher level of quality care and improve communication, our culturally sensitive and multilinguistic staff is trained to accommodate your communication needs. We also offer translation services of over 200 languages through a third party if in need of additional assistance.

Q: What Services, Programs and Care do you provide at NECC?

A:

  • Obstetric Care: Pregnancy is a special time in a woman’s life and NECC makes sure it is a memorable one with thorough examinations, screens, labs and regular follow up visits throughout maternity to insure a healthy outcome for mother and child. NECC OB/GYN services follow all recommendations of the American College of OB/GYN, offering Alpha-Fetoprotein (AFP) and ultrasound, in addition to referrals for amniocentesis, general counseling, nutrition classes, health education and WIC.
  • Gynecology Services: Women’s health is of paramount importance at NECC where a woman’s history, annual physical evaluations, including pap smears, breast exams, ultra sounds, cervical and other cancer screenings, mammograms, ultrasound and HIV screening and counseling are carefully performed by licensed professionals.
  • Family Planning Services are available for women and men. NECC offers birth control methods and guidance, pregnancy testing and sexually transmitted infection screening and counseling.
  • General Medicine Care includes treatment of acute and chronic conditions such as asthma, diabetes and hypertension through medical and educational protocols that encourage self-management, family awareness and healthier communities. NECC’s experience proves once a patient takes control of his or her chronic condition, the whole family benefits by living a healthier lifestyle.
  • Health Educations & Counseling goes a long way in order to build healthy families and communities so NECC includes instruction and support by medical providers and/or health educators in way to build and maintain good health. Nutritional counseling promotes healthy choices for at-risk individuals such as Latinos with concerns such as diabetes and childhood obesity.
  • Pediatric Care for our youngest patients includes full exams for illnesses, WIC examinations, plus school entry physical examinations. Services include vision and auditory screening, dental screening and referrals, well-baby checks, immunizations and developmental assessment as defined by the latest American Academy of Pediatrics and CDC guidelines.
  • Referral Services In keeping with its mission of providing quality medical services to the underserved residents of Los Angles, despite their financial circumstances, NECC collaborates and coordinates with social and community services to provide a full spectrum of medical care, including dental, high-risk pregnancy, mental health, social services and WIC.

Q: Do you have Specialists?

A: Yes, our Pediatricians are experienced and board certified. Pregnancy is a special time in a woman’s life and NECC makes sure it is a memorable one with thorough examinations, screenings, lab tests and regular follow up visits throughout the maternity process to insure a healthy outcome for both mother and child. NECC OB/GYN services follow all recommendations of the American College of OB/GYN, offering Alpha-Fetoprotein (AFP) and ultrasound in addition to referrals for amniocentesis, general counseling, nutrition classes, health education and WIC. In addition, we also have Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, and OB/GYN doctors that care for all ages, from newborns to the elderly.

Q: How important is it to get my Physical Exam?

A: It is extremely important to get checked on a regular basis to ensure that you are living at optimal health. NECC has over 40 years of experience providing high quality healthcare, which includes performing all testing and evaluation to ensure you live a healthy life. For most children and teens, physicals are free of cost. We enroll children in the Child Health and Disability Prevention (CHDP) Gateway Program. For more information, call (888) 311-6322.

Q: Diabetes runs in my family. How do I know if I am at risk too?

A: Testing is quick and simple and can be performed at any of our clinics. Come in for an evaluation. If you or your family members have diabetes, you may be at a higher risk for developing diabetes. Q: Do you have Dental Services?

A: Yes, as of January 2017 NECC has expanded its services to include dental treatments. Services are provided at Wilmington Family Health Center, located at 200 E. Anaheim St., Wilmington, CA 90744.
